Muralisme

Walls structure the spaces in which we live: decorating them is also a way of giving our living spaces new stories; everyone knows a mural that has left a mark on them.

Dans l’espace public, ils me permettent de transmettre mon In public spaces, they allow me to convey my art and share it with as many people as possible. I started mural painting in Colombia, then continued in Mexico, both places where mural painting is an integral part of the urban landscape, a way of anchoring a motif in a large space and offering everyone who looks at it clues, stories and a language that they can interpret as they see fit.

Today, I like to design my murals as a complement to the architecture, making them as large as possible and trying to accompany the architectural forms, from the corners to the ceiling, to create continuity, forms that take on volume and unfold in space.

MAMBO

Painting on Wall

108 x 275 cm

2022

Mambo was created in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, in the working-class neighborhood of Torices, with traditional murals adorning the city's colonial architecture. It is a tribute to the indigenous cultures of the Caribbean region.

Drei are three faces mixing each others.

Strahlendes Licht

techniques mixtes sur bois

60 x 120 cm

2019

Strahlendes Licht is an introspective work. It evokes light that comes to a halt. We can see Sisyphus collapsing, letting his stone roll down the hill.

Lengua

Peinture sur mur

110 x 160 cm

2025

Lengua is inspired by pre-Columbian Aztec and Mixtec Mexican mythologies. It represents the god Tlaloc, who is still celebrated today. He defends the earth and water and is usually depicted with his tongue sticking out. Here, he covers his eyes, as if to escape the appropriation of resources in the city of San Cristobal de las Casas.

Peje de Oro

Peinture de bâtiment sur mur

100 x 120 cm

2019

Peje de Oro is a work created during my artistic residency in the city of San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico. It serves as the gateway to the working-class neighborhood of Cuxtitali.
